How to play Reversi
Reversi is a territory game in which placing one disc can flip several lines of opposing discs. You play blue and move first. A player with no legal move passes automatically; the match ends when neither side can move.
- You play blue and move first; the computer plays gold.
- Place on a highlighted empty square to bracket one or more enemy discs between the new disc and another of yours. Every bracketed line flips, including diagonals.
- A player with no legal move automatically passes. When neither can move, the most discs wins; equal counts draw.
Tips for your next round
- Corners cannot be flipped once occupied. Be careful with the squares beside an empty corner, as they can give your opponent access to it.
- The largest early disc count is not always best. Keep useful legal moves available and avoid opening strong moves for the computer.
You face a local computer opponent. When the match ends, the side with more discs wins; equal totals produce a draw.
