Spider Solitaire is a patient card game played with two decks, 104 cards in total, spread over ten columns. Your goal is to build complete runs from king down to ace in a single suit; each finished run leaves the table, and eight of them win the game. Choose one, two or four suits to set the difficulty, undo mistakes, and take on the daily deal that is the same for everyone. It is free, runs in your browser and saves your progress.
How to play Spider Solitaire
- 1Pick 1, 2 or 4 suits. One suit is the easiest, four suits is the real challenge.
- 2Move a card onto a card that is one rank higher, in any suit. For example, a 6 goes onto a 7.
- 3You can only move several cards together if they are the same suit and in descending order.
- 4Tap a card to send it to the best available spot, or drag it where you want it. Moving a card reveals the face-down card beneath it.
- 5When you run out of moves, click the stock to deal one new card onto every column. This is only allowed when no column is empty.
- 6Complete a run from king to ace in one suit and it is removed. Clear all eight runs to win.
Spider Solitaire FAQ
How many cards does Spider Solitaire use?
It uses two decks, so 104 cards. 54 are dealt at the start and the remaining 50 wait in the stock for five more deals of ten cards.
Why can I not deal from the stock?
You can only deal while every column has at least one card. Fill any empty column first, then deal again.
Which difficulty should I start with?
Start with one suit to learn the flow. Two suits adds planning, and four suits is the hardest version and often cannot be won.
What is the daily deal?
The daily deal is a fixed layout that is the same for everyone on a given day, so you can compare how you did on the same cards.
Is my game saved?
Yes. Your game in progress and your stats are saved in your browser, so you can reload the page and continue. The game is free and needs no registration.
