How to play Slitherlink

Slitherlink is a line-drawing logic puzzle. A number tells you how many of the four edges around its cell belong to the loop. Satisfying the numbers is only part of the task: all selected edges must join into one closed loop.

  1. Tap an edge between two dots to add or remove a line.
  2. Each cell’s clue equals the number of selected edges around it.
  3. All selected edges must form one closed loop, with no branches, crossings or separate loops.

Tips for your next round

  • A zero rules out all four surrounding edges. Use it to restrict the neighboring numbered cells.
  • Every vertex touched by the loop needs exactly two selected edges. A third edge creates a branch, and a single edge leaves an unfinished end.

These introductory boards contain 3×3 clue cells. The collection has three original base puzzles in different orientations.
